Along with rendering publicity services to movies, Raghavendra Chitravani also recognises and awards the talented individuals from the industry in various categories every year.
The founder of Raghavendra Chitravani, MR D V Sudheendra started his career in the year 1976 with the movie ‘Sose Tanda Soubhagya’ as the first ever PRO of Sandalwood. Along with handling the publicity activities of movie, Mr.Sudheendra has also produced great hits of the industry like ‘Olavina Udugare’, ‘Gundana Maduve’, ‘Ganeshana Maduve’, ‘Nanuguta Nali’ and ‘Pattanakke Banda Putta’ independently and in collaboration with other producers.
Mr Sudheendra has been awarded with Kempegowda award, Prachara Raja, Rajyotsava Award along with Kavana Hamsa title from Mantralaya Mutt.
After the demise of MR D V Sudheendra, the organization is run by his nephews Venkatesh, Vasu and his son Sunil who are the backbones of Raghavendra Chitravani today. MR Sudheendra Venkatesh has worked for a whopping 1,200 films since 2006 independently. ‘Mungaru Male’ (2006) and ‘Duniya’ (2007) films earned him huge recognition for his services and helped him settle as an independent film public relations officer.
With over 35 years of experience in the industry, the 52-year-old maverick has carved a niche for himself by working as Public Relations Officer for more than 1500 films from 2007 till date. Currently, MR Sudheendra Venkatesh is engaged for PAN (Presence Across Nation) India movies.
Raghavendra Chitravani has been the go-to publicity place for production houses such as Hombale Films, Rockline Productions, Jayanna Combines, Shailendra Productions, Ramoji Productions, Upendra Productions, Kichcha Creations, Thoogudeepa Productions, Pushkar Films, SV productions, K R G Studios, Sandesh Productions and many more prestigious film production houses in Karnataka. Ragavendra Chitravani has been an official PR partner for PAN Indian movies such as ‘KGF Chapter 1 & 2’, ‘Kabzaa’, ‘Charlie 777’, ‘Eega’, ‘Saira Narasimha Reddy’, ‘Nota’, ‘Dear Comrade’ and many more.
MR D V Sudheendra started the initiative of Sri Raghavendra Chitravani Prashasthi in the year 2000 to mark their 25th year’s anniversary. The awards ceremony is a premier event to honour the artists and technicians in various categories every year.
After his demise, MR Sudheendra venkatesh continued the tradition. Annual functions were held for the last 15 years. The number of categories went up from five to 11 awards.
Fluent in Kannada, English, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi languages MR Sudheendra Venkatesh handles assignments beyond Karnataka. His hard and dedicated efforts have earned him many honours, appreciations and awards.
